It's that busy time of year again!

30/4/2025

Well nearly into May and i've hardly painted anything this year! Following an extensive period away in New Zealand to help my sister-in-law move house, and various drama production requiring painting; I can now put my headspace back into creating once more.

Alongside creation comes exhibiting and once more the double whammy of The Kimpton art festival and the Hertford open. As you can see from my "Exhibitions of 2025" page, some 9 paintings were spirited from the loft and driven their arduous journeys for their brief moment in the sun.

It's worth the hassle, even though hassle is indeed how it feels. Perhaps I will retire when i'm sixty (not so long now) then these paintings can remain in the darkness of the loft... and then to disposal? But for now they live, and if any sell, they live a new unknown life of unknown length, but we dream they go to be treasured and live on forever.

"Brexit and all that (night)"
"Rudbeckia."
"Through the Trees"

"Anthropocene"
Go and give them a visit - They'll get lonely otherwise!

Andrew will be exhibiting a large amount of work at his next joint exhibition at the Eagle Gallery this November. His work will be seen alongside the glasswork of Sharon Korek. Andrew will be manning the exhibition in the mornings - so meet him and ask him about the work.

Back at the Workhouse

28/3/2023

Andrew's work can be seen once more at "The Workhouse", Dunstable from tomorrow 29th March up until 6th May. He has two pieces in their Spring open exhibition. Recent pieces "Through the Trees" alongside "Cacophony Kate (Big)" will be on show alongside 10 of his cards and two browser pieces. So pop along and buy it all (I won't be upset). Not sure if this is good marketing or just desperation. Suffice to say having it seen is satisfaction in itself.

Proud to be part of a group of five Eagle Gallery artists with a group show at the gallery from Saturday. A chance to show some new work along with some of my favourite recent pieces.

It's good to be back..

Naish Art is back on the road (and narrow ones at that) to the village of Kimpton for this weekends "Art Show" as part of the bank holiday festival in the village. I'm showing four paintings here. "Anthroposene", "Brexit and all that" "Cacophony: Building Blocks" and "The Church at Kimpton". The last item specially created for this exhibition - although it was just too late for entry one year and then covid happened - so it is neither brand new nor premiering here.

Back at the "Workhouse"

10/10/2021

Just dropped off three pieces of work at "The Workhouse" gallery in Dunstable for their new exhibition "Create '21". This runs 13th October - 13th November -see poster for opening times.

The theme of the show is experimental or accidental work! This gave me the opportunity to look through my back catalogue. I came up with "Berlin Squash", "Splodge 1" and "Apple Tree Form". Hope that you can get down there and enjoy the show.
