So the annual pilgrimage to Hertford ended with only one out of the six entries being accepted. It's always been a tough call, but getting four out of the six in last year and selling two of those had given me hope. Still, it brings one down to earth and helps generate a desire to improve and fight another day.
So, "Man on a Bus" will be my sole effort on show 3rd May to 16th at the Cowbridge Halls in Hertford. Always a top quality show, so worth a look. The offending failures/ firewood wannabes were "Mother and Child", "Self", "Berlin Squash", "Dreaming of Yesterday" and "Pete's Dragon" all appearing in a charity shop near you soon! (Actually I am still quite proud of them, so hand's off Oxfam) Finally concluded work on "Cacophony" my entry into the "Italian Connection" exhibition at the Eagle gallery. Not only that it sold at the private view! See at while you can - at the Eagle Gallery 'till May 7th.
For once i've completed the two paintings for the Eagle Gallery's next exhibition opening Monday 16th March slightly in advance of the hang. I have of late been rushing around completing them on the Saturday and then taking them up Sunday morning for the hang. Phew!
Two more works on display at the Eagle Gallery this month. They are "Coastline" a pastel 'Browser Max' piece and "Mother and Child".
Well its a new year and a new page in the archives. Have tweaked the web site slightly to accommodate Archive 2015. Hope you like it. Two new pictures added too including Berlin Squash see below. Click on this image to find out more about it's creation.
'Winter Museum' has been removed from display at Wardown. The painting was bought as a leaving present for the chief executive of Luton Culture.
Pleased to announce that two paintings have been accepted in Luton Art this year. They are "Winter Museum" and the other is "The Next But One....". The third entry which didn't make it (and proceeds straight to the naughty step) was "Rhododendron Bloom". They will be on show at the museum from 29th of November until February next year!
It's done! Now on show at the Eagle Gallery Bedford, and written up on the web site.
