Well its been a while, but i've finally managed to add a couple of paintings, including the first of 2017 " Through a Window" as shown above. Having been moving house (and studio) over the last few months, order is finally descending, so hopefully paintings will appear more rapidly soon!
After a mammoth effort, we are pleased to announce the conclusion of the Tads theatre production of Romeo and Juliet. Although a long show, its fair to say that the reviews were "rave". we are pleased to say that the set decoration by Naish Art also went down well.
See the new page showing the work by clicking on the photo below.... We are pleased to announce that three of the four pieces entered in the Hertford Open this year were successful in being accepted for exhibition. They are currently on show at the Cowbridge Halls in Hertford. The successful paintings were, "Broken Road", "Roadside Silhouette" and "Apple Tree Form". This is only the second time that "Apple Tree Form" has been on public display since its premier at the Eagle Gallery in 2014.
Opening tomorrow in Bedford, the new Eagle Gallery Member's exhibition features two of my paintings. They are both in the window (see above on the left hand side). The gallery is open Monday to Friday 10am to 5.30pm.
Today we launch the shop page! An exciting adventure for Naish Art. Unfortunately I can't accept Pay pal yet - would have to upgrade my Weebly account with a monthly charge which would probably not cover costs. - But in time who knows! Also won't let me show how much stock is available without upgrading. Twenty Five Calendars and 50+ off of each of the cards as we launch. So its best to use the contact forms if you want anything in any great quantity.
After the mammoth effort for the Urban and Rural exhibition, we come back to earth with a new piece for the eagle Gallery "Contrast" themed show. This piece on show in Bedford at the Eagle Gallery until 19th November.
Naish Art are pleased to announce an exhibition of new work on for a week in Bedford from September 19th. and here is the press release....
“URBAN AND RURAL” is a one week show of new paintings by Andrew Naish premiering at the Eagle Gallery in Bedford from 19th -26th September 2015. The show highlights the dichotomy of our living spaces whether they be Urban or Rural. It also contrasts the natural world with the man-made environment. Andrew has selected these images as representations of places that have interested him on his travels here and overseas. Painted on uniform canvas sizes and shown on opposite sides of the gallery, he hopes the visitor will examine this dichotomy too. Previous works by the artist will also be on sale at special show prices for this week only. The exhibition will be open 10am - 5.30pm (Saturday and weekdays) and Sunday 11am - 4pm. The artist will be in the gallery Saturday, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday 10am - 1.45, Friday 1.45 pm - 5.30pm and Sunday all day. If you are out and about this bank holiday weekend there's a greater chance of bumping into one of my paintings! This is still a very slight chance but more than usual!
This is because I will have art at The Kimpton Art Show, the Hertford Open and the Eagle Gallery in Bedford. See the Exhibitions page for more details. So the annual pilgrimage to Hertford ended with only one out of the six entries being accepted. It's always been a tough call, but getting four out of the six in last year and selling two of those had given me hope. Still, it brings one down to earth and helps generate a desire to improve and fight another day.
So, "Man on a Bus" will be my sole effort on show 3rd May to 16th at the Cowbridge Halls in Hertford. Always a top quality show, so worth a look. The offending failures/ firewood wannabes were "Mother and Child", "Self", "Berlin Squash", "Dreaming of Yesterday" and "Pete's Dragon" all appearing in a charity shop near you soon! (Actually I am still quite proud of them, so hand's off Oxfam) Finally concluded work on "Cacophony" my entry into the "Italian Connection" exhibition at the Eagle gallery. Not only that it sold at the private view! See at while you can - at the Eagle Gallery 'till May 7th.
