The classic beach strata look from my series of oil paintings from my time in St. Ives in Cornwall. This piece was completed in some haste in my quest for new work for my joint show at the Eagle gallery from the 17thNovember 2023. Sometimes instinct trumps overwork and I think this proves that point.
The third in this series of paintings, I am starting to master the use of the recycled canvas and even the application of the oils is becoming more familiar. Onward and upward!
