This piece was created as an entry into the Eagle Gallery “How we do it” exhibition. The Exhibition in May / June 2018 was to run alongside various Open Studios from members and demonstrations at the gallery. The submitted work for the exhibition was to be accompanied by a supporting A4 sheet describing the artist’s methods/ideals or just a bit more background to the artist.
I felt somewhat nervous about opening up about how the piece was made, for fear of being found out as the “Fake Artist” I think I probably am! Odd in a way as that is what I do on this web site all the time. But then again, we are all friends, aren’t we?
Still I decided to go straight down the factual route and the following is what I came up with …

The piece was quite an intense creation with looming deadlines, and I think this could be a jumping off point for other paintings of the same composition, somewhat like my “Yellow Burst” series of paintings. The colours don’t sing out as perhaps they might, but I’ve managed to get a brighter result in the photograph of the piece. So perhaps it will work best as a card, tea towel etc.
